TEN WAYS TO INSPIRE YOURSELF

Busy professionals, especially those running a startup or small business, can find themselves so buried in the details that they find it hard to set aside time to think about the big picture.
So if you’re feeling stuck, here are some ways you may find inspiration, courtesy of CareerBliss.

Brainstorm. Write down all your thoughts about the issue at hand. Getting past self-censorship can reveal new ideas.

Try art. Drawing what’s on your mind can help you make sense of it, even if you have no artistic ability.

Seek another viewpoint. A fresh perspective can work wonders.

Learn from your competitors. What have they done right? Where have they failed? What can you do better?

Ask thought-provoking questions. What if PowerPoint didn’t exist? What would Steve Jobs do?

Do something new. Listen to music you’ve never heard, or read something completely different.

Get moving. Stand, stretch, walk up the stairs, go for a run. Moving your muscles can free your mind.

Find what inspires you and keep it nearby. Whether it’s a quote, video or work of art, keep your “muse” near you for those moments when you need inspiration.

Change location. Get out of your cubicle and work in your conference room, or any other change that refreshes you.

Sleep on it. Sometimes it’s better just to come back fresh the next day.

Although these tips have a business leaning, it can be applied to all areas of life and endeavour. Get up and get going. Don't anything keep you down not even yourself. Inspire yourself and be all that you want to be. Remember, if we do all that we are capable of, we would literally astound ourselves!

POPE TO RESIGN

Pope Benedict XVI
Pope Benedict XVI will be resigning from the papal office on the 28th of February, 2013. This is the first time a reigning pope will resign since the middle ages.

Reactions have been coming in from all around the world from believers, admirers and supporters of the church and the pope since the news was released by the Vatican City spokesperson.

The German government said it was "moved and touched" by the surprise resignation of Pope Benedict, who was born in the country.

Spokesman Steffen Seibert said: "The German government has the highest respect for the Holy Father, for what he has done, for his contributions over the course of his life to the Catholic church.

"He has been at the head of the Catholic Church for nearly eight years. He has left a very personal signature as a thinker at the head of the Church and also as a shepherd."

Pope Benedict resigns

Read the Pope's resignation letter below:

"Dear Brothers,
I have convoked you to this Consistory, not only for the three canonizations, but also to communicate to you a decision of great importance for the life of the Church.
After having repeatedly examined my conscience before God, I have come to the certainty that my strengths, due to an advanced age, are no longer suited to an adequate exercise of the Petrine ministry. I am well aware that this ministry, due to its essential spiritual nature, must be carried out not only with words and deeds, but no less with prayer and suffering.
However, in today’s world, subject to so many rapid changes and shaken by questions of deep relevance for the life of faith, in order to govern the bark of Saint Peter and proclaim the Gospel, both strength of mind and body are necessary, strength which in the last few months, has deteriorated in me to the extent that I have had to recognize my incapacity to adequately fulfill the ministry entrusted to me.
For this reason, and well aware of the seriousness of this act, with full freedom I declare that I renounce the ministry of Bishop of Rome, Successor of Saint Peter, entrusted to me by the Cardinals on 19 April 2005, in such a way, that as from 28 February 2013, at 20:00 hours, the See of Rome, the See of Saint Peter, will be vacant and a Conclave to elect the new Supreme Pontiff will have to be convoked by those whose competence it is.
Dear Brothers, I thank you most sincerely for all the love and work with which you have supported me in my ministry and I ask pardon for all my defects. And now, let us entrust the Holy Church to the care of Our Supreme Pastor, Our Lord Jesus Christ, and implore his holy Mother Mary, so that she may assist the Cardinal Fathers with her maternal solicitude, in electing a new Supreme Pontiff.
With regard to myself, I wish to also devotedly serve the Holy Church of God in the future through a life dedicated to prayer."
